Many meetings are taking place with building owners real estate offices to put in place this new law. “These camera installations will guarantee more safety & security higher standards in all buildings in Dubai according to law number 24 of 2008 regarding security service providers in UAE,” Dubai Police added.
As per the revised law number 10 of 2014, cameras that should be installed should have some specifications such as having a clear and neat image and ability to record. Buildings that supply a low security equipment and do not comply with the governement law specifications can be fined Dh3,000!
Cameras in the building should be only digital and should have the ability to record for at least 30 days without breaks. Technicians who install cameras should have a good conduct certificate issued by municipality and should also attend a 5 days course as well as pass an exam before being promoted with this work.
