The new walking track near Safa Park area will be part of the key facilities providing to Dubai people for sports services to the public!
Engineers said: “The Canal works have impacted part of Safa Park area which requires to change wall of the Park and building a brand new jogging track conforming to the same specifications of the existing one.
The new track around Safa Park will be part of the key facilities providing sports services to the public in a vital area where the Canal crosses the heart of Dubai Emirate; adding a strong attraction to this strategic project which is bound to have positive repercussions on tourism, entertainment and investment in the near future.
“This unique urban and tourist project will offer a new living style as the Canal will connect the Dubai Creek area with the jumeira road passing under the Sheikh Zayed Road, across Safa Park and near the Southern part of the Jumeirah Beach Park area,” added the RTA engineer.
“Works in Phase III of the Water Canal Project are underway since May 2014 and all construction works are set for completion by September 2016, in time for expo too.
This work includes digging the water canal, creating an island up to the seaside, building a marine barrier around the Island for the sake of making a sand beach, constructing yachts bay marinas and the Water Bus, and constructing three pedestrian bridges in vital locations to ease the movement of the public and encourage mass and tourist transportation,” concluded the head of the RTA Traffic and Roads Agency today.
