Along with skateboarding, the world has developed an obsession of skateboard painting. Many people around the world consider skate board painting as an important profession. Few people like it as a hobby. During 70s many companies introduced skateboard painting to market their products, but soon the faded away. Recently few young artists again started skateboard painting to show case their talent. In Dubai, Greek-American artist Fotis Gerakis will arrange an exhibition to showcase their talent on 19th April and the exhibition Street Art Goes to the Opera will continue till 29th April. The exhibition will be organised at Cities boutique in Galleria Mall.
The art gallery will show case all sorts of skateboard paintings. The art form used in the painting is inspired by street and urban art. The exhibition will also highlight various forms of street paintings on skate boards. According to the artists who organised the show mentioned that their work will inspire millions of youth.
Slowly in Dubai Street art and urban art has picked up by the young generation. They generally express themselves through their art and emotion. In European nations, skateboard painting has earned a huge reputation. The organisers are hoping for a huge turn up so that the art can get the place that it deserves.
Street art and skateboard paintings are not conventional forms of art. It is a fun way of expression without any limitation.
